I T I N E R A R Y

Day 1:
Tromsø

We welcome your group to Tromsø and aboard our yacht.
You’ll be introduced to the captain, the boat host and the
boat's facilities. We then take you to one of the city’s best
restaurant for dinner before embarking on the adventure.

Day 2:
Tromsø - Finnsnes - Skrolsvik, Senja
sailing distance 36Nm+36Nm

Finnsnes, our first stop, is a small city in Troms and Finnmark.
Population: 4 754 as of January 1st 2019, but the settlement
Silsand can also be counted with its population of 1 563.
After about a 1 hour stop, we journey to Skrolsvik village,
located at the southern tip of beautiful Senja Island.
Population: Under 100. Here you will find the Museum
“Kveitmuseet / Gammelbutikken” and the closed Skrolsvik fort.
This is also where we end our day and stay for the night.

Day 3:
Skrolsvik - Harstad City - Sortland - Trollfjord
sailing distance 18Nm + 43Nm + 26Nm

After an early breakfast, we set course for Harstad city where you can go shopping and look around the city. Harstad has a population of about 21,000. It is the second largest in Troms and Finnmark and the third largest in northern Norway.
We have lunch at a suitable restaurant before we set course for Sortland. On the way, we will pass Grytøya Island and Risøyrenna, a very narrow canal between Andøya and the mainland. Along the canal we pass beautiful Risøyhavn village. Sortland is a town in Nordland county. The town includes areas on Langøya and Hinnøya, and is joined by the brigde “Sortlandsbrua”. Between the islands is the water “Sortlandssundet”. Population: 10,500 inhabitants as of January 1st 2019.

After short stop we continue to the magical Trollfjord, only accessible by boat, where we end the day with dinner and stay overnight. If lucky, we can stay at the old power plant in the vicinity of the fjord.
A walk up in the countryside provides a magical view.

Day 4:
Trollfjord - Skrova Island - Svolvær
Sailing distance 16Nm + 6Nm

Skrova, an island in the Vestfjord only accessible by boat, is our next destination. After a short stop we continue to Svolvær. Svolvær is a township in Vågan municipality. With about 4700 inhabitants, it is the most populated area in Lofoten. Perhaps best known for the mountain cliff Svolværgeita, “the Svolvær Goat”. Lofoten and Svolvær have been inhabitet since the the Vikings ruled. Take a trip to the Viking Museum at Borg, get an insight into the local history and the fishing profession back in the days.
We will enjoy dinner at a nice restaurant in Svolvær, and maybe a glass of wine or beer at one of the local bars to end the day. We will sleep aboard the yacht.

Day 5:
Svolvær- Kabelvåg - Henningsvær, Sailing distance: 2Nm + 7Nm

After a relaxed breakfast aboard we continue to the fishing village Kabelvåg for a short stop.
Kabelvåg is the oldest fishing village in Lofoten. The commercial part of Lofoten fishing started here about 1000 years ago. Fishermen from all over Northern Norway journeyed to the waves around Kabelvåg, the old Vågan, to harvest their share of the annual cod entry. Vågan gradually grew to become the center of medieval Hålogaland. Today, Kabelvåg is first and foremost a place for school, culture and tourism.
Henningsvær is a fishing village and town in Vågan municipality in Nordland. Henningsvær is located on the southern tip of Austvågøya in Lofoten. Population: 494 as of January 1st, 2019.
Late evening, we taste local dinner at one of the cozy restaurants in Henningsvær before staying overnight.

Day 6:
Henningsvær - Stamsund - Ballstad - Reine
Sailing distance 8Nm + 10Nm + 14Nm

We continue our cruising to Stamsund, a town in Vestvågøy. Population: 1,100 as of January 1st, 2019. Stamsund is an important fishing village with Lerøy Seafoods as as the most important company.
After a short stop we continue to Ballstad, a fishing village with 1,142 inhabitants. The name comes from the Norse male name Baldrekr. The fishing village is sheltered from the open sea by large and small islands. Finally, beautiful Reine, where we will stay overnight. Reine is a fishing village in Moskenes municipality in Lofoten. Reine has 312 inhabitants as of January 1st 2017. The islands on Reine are connected by bridges. Reine has been a trading post since 1743.

Day 7:
Reine - Nussfjord - Solvær
Sailing distance 9Nm + 30Nm

Our last sailing day goes from Reine to beautiful Nussfjord on our way back to Svolvær. Nusfjord is one of Norway's oldest and best preserved fishing villages, located on Flakstadøya in Flakstad municipality. Fishing has been practiced in Nusfjord since the middle of the 19th century. There have long been rumors that the wooden houses in Nusfjord are on the UNESCO World Heritage List, but this is not true. The dream tour ends in Svolvær, where you can choose to fly further on or back to your starting point.
