Our brand new sail/motor catamaran a Lagoon 51 Multihull of the Year 2023 , she is 51 feet, over 8 meter wide. She has
– 6 double beds cabins , 4 if them incl. toilette and Shower
– a big saloon, a super nice flybridge, daybed and sofa outside.

We have fridge and freezer and washing machine for kitchen and clothes as well.
– Coffee machine.
– 1000 liter fresh water on tanks.

Arctic Dream is the most ecofriendly sail and motorcatamaran in the North of Norway.

With woodwork from FSC-certified forests and upholstery entirely created from recycled materials, our crew have imagined an elegant and comfortable catamaran with an innovative design. 

During the week you will experience wild and beautiful nature. Bring your camera and have enough memory at your SD disc. If you have drone it is even better. A fresh morning swim is recommeded for those that like try the fresh (cold) water ;).

Even our cruising Itenerary is suggested (maybe 8 days needed for the whole Itenerary) , we are very flexible during your private dreamtour. Just let us know. We can easely sail during night as well since we have 24 hours daylight.

Beautiful nature

The nature is breathtaking, with wild and spectacular mountains, nice fjords and a lot of islands. There is so many beautiful places to experience during this tour, - words is not enough.

Midnightsun

The midnight sun period is from May 22 to July 22. You can only experience this natural phenomenon in northern Norway. The sun does not set below the horizon and daylight is here 24 hours a day. The magical nature can therefore be experienced both day and night. Even after July 22 the daylight continue to end of august. The magic Northernlights starts at end of august

Fishing

Northern Norway has some of the best fishing areas in the world, and most people who visit northern Norway have fishing luck. Self-caught and super fresh fish made in the northern Norwegian way tastes fantastic.

Trollfjord

Everyone who visits Lofoten will see the beautiful Trollfjord. The approximately 2.5 kilometer long fjord is only 200 meters wide at the mouth and 100 meters at the narrow constriction, but widens at the bottom where it forms a pool that is 350 meters wide and 60 meters at its deepest. At the narrow part is a reef of fallen stone and the depth is only 30 meters. The smooth-polished wall on the north side consists of monzonite - Norway's oldest rock. The only way to get there is by boat.

Lofoten

When we arrive In Lofoten we visit Svolvær, Skrova island, Kabelvåg, Henningsvær, Nussfjord, Ballstad and Reine. All of them, super nice small villages. In other words, the best of the best.

Lofoten is known for its unique nature with mountains and peaks, open sea and sheltered coves, beaches and large unspoilt land.

Itinerary

Day 1 : Tromsø

We welcome you and your friends to Tromsø and on board our luxury catamaran. We get to know the Skipper, the boat host and the boat's facilities. We visit the cities' best restaurant (expenses not included) for a better dinner before heading (next morning) towards wild and beautiful nature, - on our way to magic Lofoten.

Day 2 : Tromsø - Finnsnes - Skrollsvik at Senja Sailing distance: 36Nm+ 36Nm

 First stop is Finnsnes. Finnsnes is a very small city and administration center in Senja municipality in Troms and Finnmark. Finnsnes settlement has 4 754 inhabitants as of 1 January 2019, but when you talk about the city, you often count the settlement Silsand which has 1 563 inhabitants. After a short stop (approx one hour)  we continue to Skrollsvik village at beautiful Senja Island. Here you can walk around and see how Norwegians live in the country. Skrollsvik is located at the southern tip of Senja. It has just under 100 inhabitants. The place has a department under the Mid-Troms Museum; Kveitmuseet / Gammelbutikken and the closed Skrolsvik fort.

Long day! (We will discuss route before taking decission)

 We will stay here overnight until the next day.

Day 3: Skrollsvik - Harstad City - Sortland, Sailing distance: 18Nm + 43Nm

 Early the next morning, after breakfast, we set course for Harstad city. We go ashore for shopping and hiking in the city. Harstad is a city and administrative center in Harstad municipality. With a population of around 21,000, the city is the second largest in Troms and Finnmark, and the third largest in northern Norway. Harstad is located northeast of Hinnøya; the north- and south-going Hurtigruten meet every morning.

We have lunch at a suitable restaurant before we set course for Sortland.

On the trip to Sortland, we pass inside Grytøy Island, later on we pass Risøyrenna, a very narrow canal between Andøya and the mainland. Along the canal we pass beautiful Risøyhavn village. Sortland is a town and administration center in Sortland municipality in Nordland county. The town is located by Sortlandssundet furthest east on Langøya, by Sortlandsbrua over to Hinnøya. The settlement has almost 10,500 inhabitants as of 1 January 2019

We stay overnight

Day 4: Sortland - Trollfjord - Skrova Island - Svolvær, Sailing distance: 26Nm+ 16Nm + 6Nm

Everyone who visits Lofoten will see the beautiful Trollfjord. The only way to get there is by boat. We sail into Trollfjord and if we are lucky we find free space at the old power plant in the vicinity of the fjord. Here we stay until the next day.
 You can walk along the path up in the countryside and will get a magical view.


Then we We are heading to Skrova, an island in the Vestfjord, about eight kilometers southeast of Svolvær. Boat is the only way to get there. After a short stop we continue to Svolvær.

 Svolvær is the administration center in Vågan municipality, and with about 4700 inhabitants, it is the place with the most people in Lofoten. The place is perhaps best known for the mountain cliff Svolværgeita and the city of light. A magical light experience, - summer as dark time. Lofoten and Svolvær are proud of their history, people have lived here since the ice retreated and the Vikings ruled in the Viking Age. Take a trip to the Viking Museum at Borg, get an insight into the local history and how the fishing profession was then.

We are enjoying dinner at a nice restaurant in Svolvær, and maybe a glass of wine or bear at one of the local bars before getting to sleep aboard.

Day 5: Svolvær- Kabelvåg - Henningsvær, Sailing distance: 2Nm + 7Nm

 After a relaxed breakfast aboard we slowly continue to the fishing villaga Kabelvåg for a short stop before ending the sailing day in Henningsvær.

Kabelvåg is the oldest fishing village in Lofoten, the commercial part of Lofoten fishing started here about 1000 years ago. Fishermen from all over northern Norway applied to the waves around Kabelvåg, the old Vågan, to harvest their share of the annual cod entry. Vågan gradually grew to become the center of medieval Hålogaland. Today, Kabelvåg is first and foremost a place for school, culture and tourism

Henningsvær is a fishing village and town in Vågan municipality in Nordland. Henningsvær is located on the southern tip of Austvågøya in Lofoten. The settlement had 494 inhabitants 1 January 2019.

We are staying overnight in Henningsvær.

Optional - Further Sailing

Day 6: Henningsvær - Stamsund - Ballstad - Reine, Sailing distance: 8Nm + 10Nm + 14Nm

 We continue our nice cruising to Stamsund whicg is a town in Vestvågøy municipality in Lofoten in Nordland. The settlement has 1,100 inhabitants 1 January 2019. Stamsund is an important fishing village with Lerøy Seafoods as as the most important company.

After a short stop we continue to Ballstad. This is a fishing village with a settlement 1,142 inhabitants. The name apparently comes from the Norse male name Baldrekr. The fishing village is sheltered from the open sea by large and small islands.

And finally beautiful Reine, a fishing village in Moskenes municipality in Lofoten. Reine is the administration center in the municipality, and has 312 inhabitants 1 January 2017. The islands on Reine are connected by bridges. Reine has been a trading post since 1743.

Staying overnight in Reine

Day 7: Reine - Nussfjord - Solvær, Sailing distance: 9Nm + 30Nm

Our last sailing day goes from Reine to beautiful Nussfjord on our way back to Svolvær. Nusfjord is one of Norway's oldest and best preserved fishing villages, located on Flakstadøya in Flakstad municipality. Fishing has been practiced in Nusfjord since the middle of the 19th century. There have long been "rumors" that the wooden houses in Nusfjord are on the UNESCO World Heritage List, but this is not true.

This dreamtour ends in Svolvær, where you can choose to fly further on or back to your starting point.
